Terms
Handoff - the point at which one agent stops working a task and another continues it. A handoff carries the task state, not only the next instruction.
Task state - what has been tried, what has been ruled out and why. It is the part of a handoff that keeps the receiving agent from repeating work.
Operational limit - a bound on a step that holds regardless of which agent runs it, such as how long the step may take or how many times it may retry.
